In the documentary, Bozanich says that she doesn't believe Erik and Lyle's claim that their father inappropriately abused them. In one part, she also criticizes people on TikTok who have been sharing their own opinions about the case.

Bozanich said, "The only reason we're doing this special is because of the TikTok movement to free the Menendi.

"If that's how we're gonna try cases now, why don't we just, like, have a poll? You present the faces, everybody gets to vote on TikTok, and then we decide who gets to go home.

"Your beliefs are not facts. They're just beliefs. And by the way, all you TikTok people, I'm armed. We got guns all over the house. So don't mess with me."

Who are the Menendez Brothers?

Joseph Lyle Menendez and Erik Galen Menendez are American brothers who were convicted of murdering their parents, José and Mary Louise "Kitty" Menendez, in their Beverly Hills home in 1989.

After the murders, Lyle told the police that he and Erik found their parents dead and said that unknown intruders had killed them. The police initially thought it might be a mob-related crime, but they became suspicious when they saw how much the brothers were spending from their multimillion-dollar inheritance. Erik later confessed to the murders during a therapy session, which led to their arrest.

Menendez Brothers Case

The Menendez brothers are serving life in prison without parole for the shotgun murders of their parents in 1989. Now, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office is reviewing the case to see if new evidence could lead to a possible resentencing.

District Attorney George Gascón stated in a press conference that it is clear Erik and Lyle Menendez committed the murders. However, his office is looking into recent developments, including a letter from Erik claiming he was sexually abused by their father, to determine if they should reconsider the brothers’ sentences.

The Menendez brothers, now in their 50s, have always said they killed their parents, José and Kitty Menendez, in self-defense after enduring years of abuse. At their trial, prosecutors argued that the brothers killed their parents to gain their multi-million-dollar estate, not out of fear for their lives.
