As season 12 kicks off, there are several new contestants we haven’t met yet, including Dust Bunny, Goo, Wasp, Bluebell, Chess Piece, Sherlock Hound, Royal Knight, Macaron, Ice King, and Strawberry Shortcake. Here’s a fun guess at who these celebrities might be, based on what we know so far.

Woodpecker

Jenifer Lewis introduced the Woodpecker, saying she's known her since she started her career. The Woodpecker seems to be a small woman, calls herself both a mogul and a "chic CEO," and hints that she's friends with Beyoncé. She says she's on the show because she's aiming to become the youngest billionaire.

Leaf Sheep

Former Denver Bronco Demarcus Ware (who was "the Koala" last season) introduced someone called "Leaf Sheep." He’s jokingly called "the GOAT" (Greatest of All Time), but he admits he’s slower now compared to his prime.

Leaf Sheep says he once "topped the charts" and brought a franchise back to life. He’s connected to a seahorse that wears a cowboy hat and something related to a quarter. Despite all that, he’s not a great singer.

Buffalo

While the show initially teases Buffalo as just one person, it’s quickly revealed that the “buffalo” is actually plural, indicating three members of a herd. When they’re introduced by “ambassador” and friend Nick Lachey, there’s talk of “roach-filled beds at night and practicing at bus stops,” pictures of both Betty and Vanna White, and a suggestion that they’ve been on “two of the biggest sitcoms of all time.”

There are also nods to some sort of Walk of Fame, a slot-machine jackpot, and a crown. And, though this is no help at all, Lachey says that the Buffalo are “always the center of attention at my epic Super Bowl parties.”

Showbird

Introduced by her friend Joel McHale, who often teases judge Ken Jeong, Showbird said she was a tomboy when she was younger and is into nerdy things like LEGO and Comic-Con.

She mentioned being in some of the biggest blockbuster movies. In her intro video, there was a golden gavel, hinting she might be connected to being a judge in some way.

Ship

The Ship has a steampunk, old-fashioned boat style. Jewel, who has been friends with her for many years, praises her. The Ship says her career took off quickly but then she lost control, felt lost, and forgotten.

However, she turned things around and now has the career she always dreamed of. She also seems to be a professional singer, based on how well she sang "Pompeii" by Bastille, showing off her strong voice and vibrato.
