Leslie Hope Abramson is an American lawyer known for defending Lyle and Erik Menéndez. She is also a published author. She was, born on October 6, 1943. 

Leslie was born in Flushing, Queens, New York. She graduated from Queens College and earned her law degree (J.D.) from UCLA School of Law in 1969.

Leslie Abramson Marriage

Leslie Abramson has been married twice. Her first marriage was to a pharmacist, which ended in divorce in 1969. She later married Tim Rutten, a reporter for the Los Angeles Times. Leslie has two children: a daughter named Laine from her first marriage and an adopted son from her second. In September 2022, she confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that Rutten had passed away, even though they were divorced at the time.
