Space Marine 2

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a third-person action game released in 2024. It was developed by Saber Saint Petersburg and published by Focus Entertainment. This game is a sequel to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, which came out in 2011. Space Marine 2 was released on 9 September 2024 for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. Critics generally gave the game positive reviews.

Space Marine 2 Gameplay

In Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II, you play from a third-person view and fight enemies using both melee (close-up fighting) and ranged (shooting) combat. You control Titus, a lieutenant of the Ultramarines, who is joined by two other Space Marines, Chairon and Gadriel. These companions can either be controlled by other players in co-op mode or by the computer (AI) in single-player mode.

You'll use shooting to deal with weaker enemies like Tyranid Gaunts, but for stronger enemies like Tyranid Warriors, you'll need to fight them up close because they can block bullets. You can block or dodge attacks, but some attacks can't be blocked and must be dodged. Sometimes, you'll fight alongside Imperial Guard soldiers controlled by AI.

Titus is protected by armor. If his armor breaks, his health starts to permanently decrease when hit. Health can only be restored by finding medkits, but armor regenerates after performing an execution on an enemy. If your health reaches zero, you'll fall and bleed out for 30 seconds, giving your teammates a chance to revive you before you die.

The game also has a co-op mode called "Operations" and three competitive multiplayer modes: Annihilation, Seize Ground, and Capture and Control. You can choose from six character classes and customize your character with different cosmetic items.
