OSSC Recruitment 2024 Notification Overview

Qualification Details

• Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Commerce or Shastri (Sanskrit) with two school subjects (as defined in the proviso below) from a recognized university, with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD/SEBC candidates), and a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)/3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution. OR

• Four-year integrated B.A. B.Ed. with two school subjects, with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD/SEBC candidates) from an NCTE-recognized institution.

• Bachelor's Degree in Science/B.Tech/B.E. with two school subjects, with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD/SEBC candidates), and a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)/3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.

• OR Four-year integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. with two school subjects, with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD/SEBC candidates) from an NCTE-recognized institution.

• Bachelor's Degree in Arts with Telugu as a subject, with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD/SEBC candidates), and Telugu B.Ed./B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.

• Bachelor's Degree with Hindi as an elective/optional/honors/pass subject, with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD/SEBC candidates) from a recognized university.

• Alim/Fazil with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD/SEBC candidates) and B.Ed./Urdu B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized university/institution. OR B.A. (Persian) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD/SEBC candidates) and B.Ed./Urdu B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized university/institution.

• +2 or equivalent examination from a recognized institution and C.P.Ed./D.P.Ed./B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed. from a recognized board/university.

Age Limit

• Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not older than 38 years as of 1st January 2024.
• Upper Age Limit Relaxation:
• SEBC, SC, ST, and all women candidates: 5 years.
• PwD candidates: 10 years.
• Ex-servicemen: Relaxation equal to the total period of service in Defence.
• Special Relaxation for PwD in SC/ST: Cumulative age relaxation of 10 years in addition to the normal relaxation for the category.
• Multiple Categories: Candidates eligible for more than one age relaxation category will receive only the most beneficial one.
• Birth Date Range for Non-Relaxed Candidates: Candidates without age relaxation must be born between 2nd January 1986 and 1st January 2003.

Selection Procedure

• Stage-I: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type, MCQ)
• Stage-II: Main Written Examination (Objective Type, MCQ)
• Stage- III: Certificate verification
• The Merit list shall be prepared in order of merit post-wise and category wise basing on the marks secured by candidates in the Main Written Examination (out of 150 marks) and found suitable in Certificate Verification.
• The select list will be published equal to number of vacancies advertised.

How to Apply?

• Applications are invited online through the OSSC website "www.ossc.gov.in" from candidates for recruitment to fill up vacancies in the following posts) of Leave Training Reserve (LTR) Teachers for Government Secondary Schools under S&ME Department, Odisha, Bhubaneswar.
• The applicants should go through this detail advertisement before filling up the online application form.
• The candidate may apply for the posts) as per her/his eligibility as per terms of the advertisement. All eligible candidates must register themselves by clicking on "APPLY ONLINE" button on the home page of the Commission's website www.ossc.gov.in.
• Those candidates who are applying for the first time have to register for the post by clicking on "NEW USER" button shown on the screen.
• On submitting the registration form a User Id and Password will be generated. On clicking "New User" or "Registered User", instruction for filling up the Online Registration/ Re-registration and Application Forms shall appear on the computer screen.
• These instructions should be read carefully before proceeding with filling up the Application Form.

• Online Registration: 30.10.2024 to 29.11.2024
• Submission of Online Application Form: 30.10.2024 to 02.12.2024
• Date of editing of Online Application form: 30.10.2024 to 04.12.2024
• Mode of Application: Online Mode only through the website "www.ossc.gov.in". No Physical copy/Hard copy of the Online Application Form needs to be submitted by the applicant.
