• Court Updates: The Orlando Magic's Classic court (1994-95) has been updated for historical accuracy.

NBA 2K25 Development

On July 10, 2024, it was announced that NBA 2K25 will be the first game in the NBA 2K series to feature both NBA and WNBA players on the cover. The All-Star Edition will showcase Jayson Tatum from the Boston Celtics and A'ja Wilson from the Las Vegas Aces. The Standard Edition will feature Tatum, while the WNBA Edition will highlight Wilson.

The Naismith Hall of Fame Edition will include Vince Carter, who is among the inductees for that year. This version will also be the first PC edition to include all the features found in the console versions, except for cross-play and anti-cheat, which will only be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. NBA 2K25 will utilize a new technology called ProPlay, which transforms real NBA footage into in-game animations, adding 9,000 new animations. Additionally, the game will have a new dribble engine and an improved defensive movement system.
