Johnnie Walker Illness and Health Update
BBC Radio 2 DJ Johnnie Walker has thanked his listeners for their kind messages as he faces a serious illness. In 2019, he was diagnosed with a condition called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, which causes scarring in the lungs and makes it harder to breathe. At that time, doctors said he might have two to five years to live, but he continued hosting his radio shows from his home in Dorset.
Is Johnnie Walker Ill?
Yes, Johnnie Walker and his wife, Tiggy Jarvis, recently shared that doctors have told him he has a limited time left to live, which could range from weeks to six months.
In a sad moment on their BBC Sounds podcast, Tiggy said, "I’m so tired. Sometimes I struggle to keep going."
She also shared that for the first six weeks after Johnnie was diagnosed, she was heartbroken and already mourning the life they had together.
Doctors told the couple that Johnnie should be ready to pass away at any time.
Tiggy added, "The only reason I've been able to keep going is by visiting the doctors and taking antidepressants. I was crying every day and feeling overwhelmed by everything I had to handle."
