Why did Tenz Retire?

TenZ explained that his love for making content and streaming played a big role in his decision to retire. He said, "I always wanted to be more of a content creator and Twitch streamer. I only became a pro because I played VALORANT so much."

Even though he won't compete in future VALORANT seasons, TenZ plans to work on new projects to entertain his fans. He already has a strong following on his streams and wants to focus more on creating content in the coming years. In his announcement, he shared that he will stream more often and make videos about his daily life with Kydae, along with Q&A sessions.

Tenz Career

When TenZ switched to VALORANT, he joined Cloud9 again, playing and streaming for them for a year. Later, he moved to Sentinels on loan, and in 2021, they made him a permanent part of the team.

TenZ had both good and bad moments with Sentinels, but the highlights are some of the most famous in VALORANT history. He helped the team win Stage 1 Masters in 2021 and the Masters Reykjavik tournament, the first international VCT event.

He also played in other big tournaments like Masters Berlin, which made him one of the top VALORANT players. TenZ is now retiring after winning the 2024 Masters Madrid with Sentinels and finishing in the Top 4 at Champions in Seoul.

Even though he's retiring, TenZ will still be part of Sentinels and continue creating content. He also said he might return as a substitute if the team needs him, and he's excited about new opportunities ahead.
