Ringo Starr surprised fans by canceling the last two shows of his tour with the All Starr Band due to illness. A post on his official Instagram and Facebook said the 84-year-old ex-Beatle has a cold, and after seeing a doctor, he was told to cancel the shows and rest.

A message on Instagram said the Starr is unwell, which has led to some cancellations.

“Today Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band announced that unfortunately they have to cancel their upcoming last two shows including tonight’s performance at TD Pavilion at The Mann in Philadelphia, PA and tomorrow at Radio City Music Hall in New York City due to illness."

“Ringo has come down with a cold and after consulting a doctor he was advised to cancel these two remaining shows and get rest."

“As always, Ringo and the All Starrs send peace and love to their fans and hope to see them soon.”

Ringo Starr Tour Cancelled

Ticket holders for the cancelled shows can get refunds. Starr and his All Starr Band started their concerts on September 7, playing 10 shows across the U.S., with the last one on September 22 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. They were supposed to play in Philadelphia on September 24 and at Radio City Music Hall in New York on September 25.

The tour began on September 7 in San Diego, with recent performances in Medford, Massachusetts; Uncasville, Connecticut; and Niagara Falls, Canada. The current group includes former members of Toto, the Average White Band, and Men at Work.
