Is Kellie Bright Leaving EastEnders?
Fans of EastEnders are worried that Kellie Bright, who plays Linda Carter, might be leaving the show. There are rumors that Linda could die during the Christmas episodes, especially since she was not seen in recent photos from the set where the cast gathered for a funeral. Some clues suggest Linda's death, like her signature flamingo earrings being worn by another character, Nancy, during the funeral scenes.
Kellie's recent social media post also added to the speculation, as she shared a picture of a pot with "The End" written on it. While nothing has been confirmed, these hints have led viewers to believe that Linda Carter may be facing a tragic end this Christmas, which could mean Kellie Bright might be leaving the show.
Linda Carter in EastEnders
Linda Carter is a character from the British soap opera EastEnders, played by actress Kellie Bright. She first appeared on December 19, 2013, when she was introduced as the new landlady of the Queen Victoria pub, alongside her husband Mick Carter, played by Danny Dyer. The creators wanted to refresh the show, so they introduced Linda and Mick as part of a new family in the series.
Linda came from her mother's pub in Watford and quickly became a central character in EastEnders. Many viewers have compared her to the original landlady, Angie Watts, and Kellie Bright has said that she based Linda on Angie.
Throughout her time on the show, Linda has faced many challenges. She has dealt with her son Johnny’s sexuality and struggled with eating disorders. She gave birth to a premature baby after an accident and fought against cervical cancer in secret. Linda also faced issues with alcoholism, which affected her marriage to Mick. They had ups and downs, including a brief split and Linda’s affair with Max Branning, which led to another pregnancy.
In a dramatic turn of events, Linda was involved in a storyline where she murdered a character named Keanu Taylor to protect her best friend, Sharon Watts. After these events, she turned herself into the police.
Linda has left the show for maternity leave a couple of times but has returned to continue her story. As of now, she has appeared in over 1,000 episodes, marking her as an important character in EastEnders.
