When is All My Children Coming Back?

All My Children may come back. The Walt Disney Company, which has a share in A&E Networks (the parent company of Lifetime), has been interested in using the "All My Children" TV show’s story ideas. In 2020, ABC, which is part of Disney, announced that they were working with former stars Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos to create a new version of the show for primetime TV.

This new series, called "Pine Valley," was supposed to focus on a young reporter with a hidden agenda who could expose the dangerous past of a town in Pennsylvania. However, this new series didn’t work out.

Last year, ABC's only daytime soap, General Hospital, brought back a character from All My Children named Jackson Montgomery, played by Walt Willey, for several episodes.

This news about All My Children possibly coming back comes as CBS is preparing to launch a new daytime soap called The Gates in January. This will be the first new daytime soap on broadcast TV since NBC's Passions started 25 years ago.

All My Children

All My Children is a TV soap opera from the U.S. that first aired on ABC from January 5, 1970, to September 23, 2011. It later continued online from April 29 to September 2, 2013, on Hulu, Hulu Plus, and iTunes.

Created by Agnes Nixon, the show is set in a made-up town called Pine Valley, Pennsylvania, which is inspired by the real suburb of Penn Valley near Philadelphia.
