How to Get Dynamax Pokemon In Pokemon Go?
It is easy to get Dynamax Pokémon in Pokémon Go. Here are a few ways,
The 'To the Max!' research helps you get started by giving you Dynamax Pokémon early on, which you need for Max Battles to find more Dynamax Pokémon.
Dynamax Pokemon in Pokemon Go
Dynamax Pokémon are special Pokémon in the game. It can become much larger and fight in Max Battles. So, you can easily identify them by a symbol in your collection or on their stats screen. There you will see a 'Dynamax' option below their height, weight, and type info.
You cannot change your current Pokémon into Dynamax Pokémon. But, you have to find and catch Dynamax Pokémon separately. They have special 'Max Moves' that are different from regular moves. You can also improve these moves using Max Particles.
Can You Evolve Dynamax Pokemon Go?
In Pokémon GO, Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur are the only Dynamax Pokémon that can also Mega Evolve. You can choose to either Dynamax or Mega Evolve these Pokémon, but not both at the same time. For instance, if you Mega Evolve Charizard, it won’t be able to Dynamax in that battle.
Mega Evolutions can be used in standard Raid Battles, gym battles, and fights against certain NPCs, while Dynamax Pokémon are only for Max Battles. Given that Mega Evolutions are useful in a wider variety of battles and can help you win raids that might reward you with Legendary Pokémon, players often choose to Mega Evolve their Dynamax Pokémon. So far, Max Battles only offer base form Pokémon as rewards, with no Max Battle featuring Legendary Pokémon yet.
Which Should Players Choose in Pokémon GO?
There will be times when players need to use Dynamax to access certain content. Max Battles can only be fought with Dynamax Pokémon, so if trainers want to join these battles, they should choose Dynamax over Mega Evolution.
However, Mega Evolutions are useful in many more situations than Dynamax. Trainers who have been playing for a while might already have a Kanto Starter Pokémon with perfect stats and special moves from events. Because of this, they might choose not to Mega Evolve their Dynamax starters.
