During a game against the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa experienced a head injury after a collision with Bills safety Damar Hamlin. Who is Tua Tagovailoa?
Tua Tagovailoa, born March 2, 1998, is an American professional football quarterback for the Miami Dolphins in the NFL. He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide, where he was named Offensive MVP of the 2018 National Championship and won the Maxwell and Walter Camp awards as a sophomore.
After an injury cut his junior season short, he was drafted fifth overall by the Dolphins in 2020. Tagovailoa became the team’s main starter in 2021, led the league in passer rating in 2022, and in passing yards in 2023, earning Pro Bowl honors and helping the Dolphins make the playoffs.
