Chicago Med 2024 Cast

The famous Television show Chicago Med is back with its tenth season, featuring a talented ensemble of actors with outstanding characters returned to excite the Audience.

Oliver Platt as Dr. Daniel Charles

Oliver Platt returns in Chicago Med's tenth season as Dr. Daniel Charles, the head of psychiatry at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. Dr. Charles has been a crucial figure in the show, helping fellow doctors navigate the mental health impacts of various medical situations while offering his expertise as one of the hospital’s most experienced physicians.

Platt is also known for his role as Uncle Jimmy in FX's The Bear, where he portrays the sharp-tongued backer of the show's restaurant. He has appeared in popular films such as The Three Musketeers, Lake Placid, and Bicentennial Man.

S. Epatha Merkerson as Sharon Goodwin

S. Epatha Merkerson returns for her tenth season on Chicago Med, portraying Sharon Goodwin, the Director of Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. Goodwin's character began her career as a dedicated operating nurse within the Chicago medical system. Over time, she advanced to become the Chief of Patient and Medical Services at Gaffney, overseeing critical healthcare operations.

Merkerson is widely recognized for her roles in Law & Order, Jacob's Ladder, and Steven Spielberg's Lincoln.

Marlyne Barrett as Maggie Lockwood

Marlyne Barrett returns for season 10 of Chicago Med as Maggie Lockwood, one of Gaffney's most experienced nurses. As a former cancer survivor, Maggie serves as the charge nurse in the Emergency Department, where she's known for her no-nonsense approach, especially with medical students.

Barrett has also appeared in Law & Order, Gossip Girl, and Chicago Fire.

Steven Weber as Dr. Dean Archer

Dr. Dean Archer, portrayed by Steven Weber, is a newer member of the Chicago Med team, joining the cast in Season 7. As a highly skilled trauma surgeon, Dr. Archer brings a wealth of experience, having gained much of his medical training during his service in the U.S. Navy, where he worked alongside former Gaffney colleague Dr. Ethan Choi.

In addition to his role on Chicago Med, Weber is recognized for his performances in The Shining miniseries, Single White Female, and Wings.

Jessy Schram as Dr. Hannah Asher

Jessy Schram, who first appeared in a recurring role in Season 5, now plays a key role as Dr. Hannah Asher on Chicago Med. Dr. Asher is a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology and serves as the Senior Attending for the new Emergency OB/GYN service at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center.

Outside of Chicago Med, Schram is known for her roles in Unstoppable, Mad Men, and Once Upon a Time.

Luke Mitchell as Dr. Mitch Ripley

Dr. Mitchell Ripley, played by Australian actor Luke Mitchell, returns in Season 10 after first appearing in Season 9 of Chicago Med. Dr. Ripley serves as an attending physician in Gaffney's Emergency Department. His character has a complicated history with Dr. Daniel Charles, played by Oliver Platt.

Mitchell has been active in Hollywood for nearly ten years, starting his career on the Australian soap Home and Away (2009-2013). Since then, he has appeared in series like Agents of SHIELD, Blindspot, and films like Without Remorse.

Devin Kawaoka as Dr. Kai Tanaka-Reed

Devin Kawaoka portrays Dr. Kai Tanaka-Reed, a surgical resident at Gaffney who often acts like he knows everything. Since his introduction in Season 8, Dr. Tanaka-Reed has remained strong-willed and opinionated but has become more open to learning from his mentors.

Kawaoka has also appeared in Shrinking on Apple TV+, as well as Lucifer and Goliath.

Lilah Richcreek Estrada as Dr. Nellie Cuevas

Dr. Nellie Cuevas, portrayed by Lilah Richcreek Estrada, is another resident at Gaffney who specializes in psychiatry. Working closely with Dr. Charles, she adds a fresh perspective to a department that has become somewhat traditional in its approach.

Estrada is recognized for her performances in shows such as Dave, A Man on the Inside, and the reboot of The Wonder Years.

Brennan Brown as Dr. Sam Abrams

Brennan Brown returns for Season 10 as Dr. Sam Abrams, a character he has portrayed since the very first season of Chicago Med. Dr. Abrams is the head of neurosurgery at Gaffney, known for his exceptional skills and strong presence.

In addition to his role on Chicago Med, Brown has appeared in films such as Focus with Will Smith, as well as State of Play and The Man in the High Castle.

Darren Barnet as Dr. John Frost

Darren Barnet joins the cast of Chicago Med in Season 10 as Dr. John Frost, a pediatric resident with a hidden secret. While the details of this secret are yet to be revealed, viewers can expect a surprising twist when it is uncovered.

Barnet makes his debut in Chicago Med with previous credits in projects such as Anyone But You, Gran Turismo, and Road House.

Sarah Ramos as Dr. Caitlin Lenox

Sara Ramos joins the cast of Chicago Med in Season 10 as Dr. Caitlin Lenox, a new attending physician in the Emergency Department. Dr. Lenox is determined to improve operations at Gaffney.

Ramos has previously appeared in shows like The Bear, Parenthood, and HBO's Winning Time.

Chicago Med Season 10

Chicago Med Season 10 premiered on September 25, 2024, with an episode titled "Sink or Swim." The show was renewed for this season in March 2024, along with its sister shows, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD.

It was announced on June 28, 2024, that Dominic Rains would be leaving the show after five seasons. Additionally, Jessy Schram shared that there would be a one-month time jump at the beginning of Season 10.

On August 5, 2024, it was confirmed that Sarah Ramos and Darren Barnet joined the cast as series regulars for the new season.

Chicago Med Season 10 Spoilers

In the Season 10 premiere of Chicago Med, Dr. Caitlin Lenox (played by Sarah Ramos) quickly shakes things up at Gaffney. Although she's not scheduled to start for another week, she arrives early during a mass-casualty incident and immediately takes charge of the Emergency Department (ED), which surprises everyone, including Director Sharon Goodwin.

Lenox sets up a temporary patient room in a consultation area, believing it to be wasted space. She clashes with Dr. Dean Archer, who suspects she has a military background, and they have a tense exchange about her authority. Tensions rise when resident Dr. Zach Hudgins freezes under pressure and abandons a patient; Lenox fires him for not handling the situation better, claiming she had Goodwin's approval to do so.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ripley struggles with personal issues, including a break with Hannah and the fallout from an incident involving a patient named Pawel. He confesses to Hannah about his attempts to prevent violence but admits he shut her out emotionally.

Additionally, new pediatrician Dr. John Frost (played by Darren Barnet) arrives at Gaffney with a young patient from his hospital, which is closing down. He seeks help from Maggie and charms her to gain access to Gaffney’s imaging services.
