Are Coldplay Breaking up?
Yes, but not now. Coldplay will stop making music together in 2025, according to their lead singer, Chris Martin. He shared this news during an interview on Radio 2. The announcement was part of a preview for his Christmas Show with Jo Whiley on the same station.
Whiley mentioned to DJ Zoe Ball on her breakfast show that Martin is very open and honest in interviews, but she sometimes can’t tell if he’s joking or being serious.
In an appearance on CBS Sunday Morning, the 47-year-old singer shared that Coldplay plans to end their album-making journey with their twelfth release.
He said, "We are only going to do 12 proper Coldplay albums" and added "but we're a little bit behind. Not too far behind!" Bandmate Jonny Buckland humorously responded, "We're asking for an extension!"
